LEGO Minifigures Series 10 Revealed

Well, the current hot topic is on Minifigures Series 10. I do not see much of a unique minifigs in this series but   here you go, there is the gold minifigs that we all waiting to see. Hopefully the army builder minifigs are given in large amount again.

Seriously, series 9 just hit the shore after a long release. They said there are ample of stocks in LEGOland Malaysia and there is nowhere to be found in other local retail store until yesterday. The current price for series 9 minifigs is RM12.90 per pack another RM1.00 raised from the previous series.  Now people are speculating over here whether the price will increase again and is there any chances for them to get the exclusive gold minifigures.

LEGO Legends of Chima #30251 Winzar's Pack Patrol Review

If you are a fans of Chima, here's another new small polybag review written by Bricks Review. Below is a picture taken from the review:

LOC_0035

I really agree that this is the cheapest ways to get the minifigs but there is something to highlight, since it is not  officially released locally here the price might vary. But still you can go for it if it falls under RM45. Otherwise  it would not make a difference for you to get the Speedorz set when it it released.

New LEGO Ninjago Battle Pack

Now even Ninjago theme have their own battle pack or minifig pack. Not sure which one to call it. Very very suitable for army building, but what can you do with the extra Zane and Jay? Will it impact the price of these two key characters? Nope, since they have their booster pack released before.

#850632

The scout and swordsman are very useful if you do not really mind the quality I believe. But the two ninja on top are pretty much useless since they are they key character which you do not need clones. With the release of this battle pack I think we need to be more careful when we buy the scout and swordsman separately from other seller.

New LEGO City Minifigs Pack

I know my news come a few days later when people found them and indeed is pretty much outdated news but I still need to update it. The minifigure pack seems to be a very good set to add more fireman and policeman into your city that are full of criminal and fires.

#850617

#850618

This is are the numbers tha Brickset given to both of this set. Is cool to be able to afford to those minifigs without buying a set that cost you a lot. But the quality, whether or not it is the same with the one in the set or it is slightly lower, only those that bought it can tell. For display or child play this would be a wise choice.

LEGO Technic - August

Though I put August there is one coming in March, #42000 Grand Prix Racer. Somehow I think this race car looks very good and I felt that it sure able to attracts many fans of Technic to get this. Maybe is just too long LEGO have not release this sort of F1 model.

42000 Grand Prix Racer
$129.99 USD
1141 pieces

While here's the one coming in August. Some gigantic vehicle and some medium size vehicle which is looks good in design.

42005 Monster Truck
$49.99 USD
329 pieces

42008 Service Truck
$129.99 USD
1275 pieces

42009 Mobile Crane Mk II
$219.99 USD
2606 pieces

I am definitely not a LEGO Technic fans but I can say some of this humongous vehicle do fetch a good price once the product is EOL. I can see there are a number of huge Technic set been released. Now that the Mobile Crane is coming again, some that missed the older version, I mean much more older than the previous release might want to grab one of this.

LEGO Legends of Chima - August

The theme starting to get interesting even right now. Not only this theme is showering you with unique minifigs it also comes with an interesting built of the vehicle whereby they are implementing the animal design on to them.

70007 Eglor's Twin Bike 1
$24.99 USD
223 pieces

70008 Gorzon's Gorilla Striker 1
$49.99 USD
505 pieces

70009 Worriz' Combat Lair 1
$69.99 USD
664 pieces

70010 The Lion CHI Temple 1
$119.99 USD
1,258 pieces

There are also new Speedorz set like #70104 Jungle Gates, #70105 Nest Dive, #70106 Ice Tower, #70107 Skunk Attack and #70108 Royal Roost all at $14.99 USD. I believe that is not all of them, should have more.

There are six buildable figures coming from this theme as well. How much you like it is pretty much depends on you. But my friend do told me, why not buy them and modified it into the mech which can pilot by the minifigs? Good idea, but no time for the modification.

LEGO Creator - August

I am not really into Creator theme myself, other than the house which manage to attract my attention but I  am always out of budget to owned one. Just cannot afford them. Anyway, the price of Creator set starting to get attractive here and is a good buy for your child I think.

31010 Treehouse 1
$29.99 USD
356 pieces

31012 Family House 1
$69.99 USD
756 pieces

This theme gets better every year although come and go are automobile, aircraft and houses, but this year they made some mecha to fill the needs of those mecha fans or maybe to compete with their competitor that releases Transformers in bricks. Although the head are not as cool as those of Transformers, but the designer did a pretty a good job. Up to date, the Creator theme now comes with more variety of color. Back to the post, the two new sets above sure attract my attention but not the other so I just posted both of this.

For locals, regarding the price that gets better, it is just for the current release, I'm not sure how much these houses will cost here, and the price might again goes up during the release.

LEGO Castle - August

This is what comes after Kingdoms, again the two factions are the Lion and the Dragon battle against each other. Is good to have the castle theme back again after a year break, thanks to The Lord of the Rings. The line is set to come back on August this year. Below are pictures and information taken from FBTB's Flickr photostream:

70400 Forrest Ambush
$11.99 USD
90 pieces

70401 Gold Getaway
$19.99 USD
199 pieces

70402 The Gatehouse Raid
$29.99 USD
248 pieces

70403 Dragon Mountain
$49.99 USD
376 pieces

70404 Kings Castle
$99.99 USD
996 pieces

Currently there are five sets coming, not sure if there are any hidden exclusive set which are not shown here.  I don't think this new Castle line can be a financial issue unless you build army. Looking at the smallest set in this line, it is a good news for those army builders, but your castle or city street might full of stray dogs. The carriage looks very good too, I believe the prison works better than the one of Kingdoms which is too narrow for a minifig to stand properly. Of course the two large set did pretty well too. Now that the new horse have their head armor, there seems to be something missing, maybe be horn that shall be attached to the armor?

LEGO Star Wars - August

This is nothing new compare to the news of UCS X-wing that is announced not long ago. But we are getting back to episode playset which is great! Although there is a number of set that has been reissued, but I think the fans still going to like them especially to those that are not collecting Clone Wars playset.

75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 1
$19.99 USD
271 pieces

75016 Homing Spider Droid 1
$29.99 USD

75017 Duel On Geonosis 1

391 pieces

75018 Jek-14's Stealth Starfighter 1
$69.99 USD

75019 AT-TE
$89.99 USD
794 pieces

75020 Jabba's Sail Barge
$119.99 USD
850 pieces

75021 Republic Gunship 1
$119.99 USD
1,175 pieces

75022 Mandalorian Speeder 1
$24.99 USD
211 pieces

75023 Star Wars Advent Calendar 1
$39.99 USD
254 pieces

I can only say there is a load of new minifigs that are going to be release but it is sad to see that there are not much white clone trooper being include in the playset and that includes the large playset. I think many will go and buy tons of battle pack. Is good to see some old minifigs came back with more detail printed on them and of course better looking. Is another year that the LEGO Star Wars fans will have their wallet ripped off.

If you have not see the pictures, which I doubt, there are links below the picture that will link you to the album made by FBTB. There are good pictures in there, really.

LEGO The Lone Ranger - April

If you ask me about Western playset, I have no idea at all. I do get a set before this as a prize of winning competition back when I was a child but I just do not know about the value of this theme until recently. Yeap, I'm that dumb. Somehow the western theme rest for a long time until recently it came back with a licensed theme of the upcoming movie The Lone Ranger.

79106 Cavalry Builder Set 1
$12.99 USD
69 pieces

79107 Comanche Camp 1
$19.99 USD
161 pieces

79108 Stagecoach Escape 1
$29.99 USD
279 pieces

79109 Colby City Showdown 1
$49.99 USD
587 pieces

79110 Silver Mine Shootout 1
$69.99 USD
644 pieces

79111 Constitution Train Chase 1
$99.99 USD
699 pieces

If you would have ask me how this theme does. I would say most of the set are great and maybe all of them are great is just a matter of budget that you have to spend on each and every theme. Honestly speaking, I think most of the theme are doing great this round, except TMNT which they have ugly vehicle. I just have to resist all of these sets, they are just so awesome!

LEGO Lord of the Rings - June

There are more Lord of the Rings set that are coming our way, for those that still have not completed the current release of LEGO Lord of the Rings, is time to stay focus and complete them as soon as possible before more sets are release for this theme.

79005 The Wizard Battle
$12.99 USD
113 pieces

79006 The Council Of Elrond
$29.99 USD
243 pieces

79007 Battle At The Black Gate
$59.99 USD
656 pieces

79008 Pirate Ship Ambush
$99.99 USD
756 pieces

The only set that attracts my attention for this second release are the Pirate Ship Ambush and maybe The Council of Elrond. I believe the Pirate Ship Ambush are something worth investing in and will fetch a good price in the after market. There are also some interesting new character  from LEGO too. At least not too many useless clones.

LEGO Galaxy Squad - August

Hardly have time to rest for myself lately, is just  not easy being adult especially when you started to work and trying to get yourself updated with the latest news on your hobby. I like this theme, it gives me the classic feel, especially the cool playability on selected set while some are still so so.

70706 Crater Creeper 1
$19.99 USD
171 pieces

70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech 1
$39.99 USD
440 pieces

70708 Hive Crawler 1
$69.99 USD
560 pieces

70709 Galactic Titan 1
$99.99 USD
1,012 pieces

I have to admit that these are old news, but FBTB did a great job all the time in toy fair coverage. They just gives us all the information we are seeking for and not to mention the nice pictures that they have taken to share with us. Like the Galactic Titan very much, I like bulky stuff and it sure has good playability. Might just snap one up if budget allow.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70700 Space Swarmer Review

I have little to none knowledge about the Galaxy Squad release date in other countries but some country already do have them release. Brickset written a review on the smallest set of the Galaxy Squad #70700 Space Swarmer and below is the picture taken from the review:

70700 Space Swarmer

I do like this theme, but the price is just not right yet since is not officially available to all the countries around the world. Only some countries carries them and that is the reason why the price is still so high if I were to buy from the states. I just like the set very much, the part is good and the minifigs too, lso the price factor which is expect around 50MYR.

LEGO Legends of Chima #30250 Ewar's Acro Fighter Review

Legends of Chima, I do not have a good impression on this theme before the release, but after looking at all the playset, it is something that you must collect if you have the funds. This is definitely new by LEGO and no one knows how can it going to turn out.

LOC_0024

I would say this set is strictly for Ewar minifig, the fighter looks awful. Again the new mold might be costly to LEGO and this might be the reason why the fighter is awful looking and the other reason is that this is a promotional set that comes in polybag. Thirst quencher sort of thing.

LEGO Legends of Chima #30253 Leonidas' Jungle Dragster Review

Bricks Review written two review on Legends of Chima polybag playset and one of them happen to be #30253 Leonidas' Jungle Dragster which not many people fancy about. Perhaps the review might change your perception towards this polybag?

LOC_0012

With all the new character this one looks good too especially the lion helmet. The face is a little duisappointed. I wonder did Leonidas smoke pot or something, his face shows like he is high on drugs or something. The vehicle looks ok to me though not so cool.

LEGO Lone Ranger Images

Today is a Chinese New Year, so Happy Chinese New Year to my reader, especially those that are celebrating it. Back to the news, two sets of LEGO Lone Ranger is finally revealed, and below are the pictures of the two sets:

#79108 Stagecoach Escape

#79111 Constitution Train Chase

I like the look of both set. I believe both are good playset that collector might not want to miss. The question is whether this theme will drive success of will flop like LEGO Prince of Persia since the two main character all looks the same to me in every set. But it sure have some interesting new character in it.

LEGO Architecture Leaning Tower of Pisa

The next Architecture set has been revealed, no idea where the picture is coming from but found it in Kez98's Flickr photostream, via Brickset.

Lego architecture leaning tower of Pisa

I'm curious about the build since the tower is leaning side way. Let's wait for it to release and we will know how it was build.
