LEGO The Simpsons #71006 The Simpsons House Picture

New pictures of The Simpsons largest playset revealed today, and no doubt, in the world of LEGO it is a headline of the day, thanks to Carlos S from Eurobricks. I am kind of slow in updating this, but it looks great.

I only watched the movie once, not much of a chance to watch this series here. I think is a very good house with interior in it, just that the price tag might worries me a little. Even non-Simpsons fans plan to get it, I can't imagine about Simpsons fans, is a instabuy I suppose.

LEGO Star Wars Exclusive TC-4 Minifigure

Toys "R" Us Hong Kong (TRU) always comes up with great deals for early bird and it indirectly revealed another exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigure for this year which is shown in the picture below:

Another protocol droid to hunt and added into our collection. It looks good anyway and die hard Star Wars fans still have to get their hand on this. Now I see fans collecting Jedi, Sith, Troopers, Astromech Droid and even Protocol Droids nowadays due to the variant that were offered. Looking forward for the release here.

On the other hand, despite TRU Malaysia is under the same Fung Group as TRU Hong Kong there are no such sweet deals here. For AFOLs in Malaysia, we pretty much like to avoid TRU unless it was Collectible Minifigures Series or the last bet we have left to get the set from them otherwise we will opt for other stores which gives us 10% discount (that is very common here). I still see parents buying off TRU shelves here in Malaysia, maybe because their kids making noise during that time, but I can tell the parents that it was not wise choice.

LEGO Movie #70803 Cloud Cuckoo Palace Review

This is one colorful set with colorful box art. A good way to attract kids to look at the set especially younger ones. Picture below is taken from the review:

Is seriously very colorful playset that comes with a snail and a kitty. Looks like a wonderland that Emmet has fallen into. Is evil enough for LEGO to produce so many kinds of kitty so that collectors will go after one another to complete their kitty too. There is no escape for kitty collectors too and the price per piece are slightly higher as well. Maybe due to the prints and colorful parts. Oh well, this set does comes with the main character which will attract the targeted age group.

If your daughter ever want a playset, you can try opt for this, the color makes me feel this set is quite suitable for girls too, if they ever wants it.

LEGO Movie #70807 MetalBeard's Duel Review

In this set MetalBeard was not counted as part of the minifig, but he was counted as a minifig in his Sea Cow playset. This is one hell of a large strange looking minifig I would say.

There are some parts to like and dislike about this set. According to the reviewer is that MetalBeard have some difficulties to pose nicely. Guess that is the only flaws, due to his pegged leg I. I like how the way the sword can be attached at his back and the the two cannon that are attached to him. I assume the hand are not long enough to reached for the sword that are attach to his back too.

LEGO Movie #70813 Rescue Reinforcements Review

Three days ago, another three review of The LEGO Movie playset has been put up on Eurobricks by Clone O'Patra. Below is a picture taken from the review:

This set has the most part counts right now among all The LEGO Movie playset and is priced at $70 which I think is really cheap considering the price per piece. Is just too bad that there is no alternate model readied for this set by the designer team but I have seen someone MOC a fire truck out of the parts, which I think that is the main purpose of LEGO.

The set looks good although the flying barn looks kind of weird but I think it is funny at the same time especially using a pig to power the tail rotor as explained by the reviewer. Good set of getting a pic which is consider an uncommon piece lately.

LEGO Movie #70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow

This is the news that I get in New Year morning. This is one large set and I assume the ships at least took 2000 pieces to build since there are 2741 pieces in it and there are Micro Manager and a bed (or couch) to be take care of. Not to mention MetalBeard too. Below is the picture taken from Eurobricks:

#70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow

Is too bad the the sail are made from technic parts rather than cloth, for ship lover, maybe one might buy a few set and make their own ship or the ship which they think is ideal for MetalBeard? It seems like there is a big propeller at the back of the ship. MetalBeard was counted as part of the minifigs too. ==lll

LEGO Movie #70800 Getaway Glider Review

Here's the other smallest set of the line at the moment. I think wave two sets are pretty big and I supposed they are coming real soon?

Although most of parts here are brown parts which I kind of sick of it, (I felt like there are many sets that has brown color in it) there are some parts which I think is interesting, like the horns, new mustache and the chicken. If this set ever goes on sales (which I think the chances are very small) here I think a lot will be grabbing it for the horse and the bot. Great set for minifigs and accessories and also instruction to build a glider. :D

LEGO Movie #70801 Melting Room Review

This is one of the smallest set that this theme offered in its line and it comes with three minifig which I found Wyldstyle does look very interesting. Well she was important in the movie after all or so I think. Below picture is taken from Eurobricks:

This set have more parts count if you were to compare Getaway Glider (#70800) but it lacks of a horse which I think Castle theme builder preferred. However, if this were targeted to kids I suppose it can sells well after the kids watch the movie that is since they get two characters from the movie.

LEGO Movie #70802 Bad Cop's Pursuit Review

Bad Cop's Pursuit has the least part counts compare with the other four playset that are priced the same with it and it sure is a big gap if you were to compare with some of the set which in turn caused the set to be said as least value set if you ask me.

Is been awhile since I saw crocodile figure being produce by LEGO, that last time I can remember was during Agents theme. I guess the two crocodile worth something and I really like the way the designer install the laser cannon to the police car. I suppose Emmet is in this for some reason while the other four sets does not comes with Emmet.

LEGO Movie #70805 Trash Chomper Review

Happy New Years guys! I think LEGO Group sent out the playset to quite a number of people to write a review on the playset and the pictorial review continues in Eurobricks.

Again, this set comes with an alternate model which is garbage truck other than trash chomper. The reason I posted the garbage truck picture first is that I prefer the set to look this way, it looks better and not that funny. However, I think the trash chomper looks quite good seeing the chomping function that it comes with. Although City released a few version of garbage truck, I think this one is just as good as the City one, maybe even better.

The Micro Manager that comes in this set looks awesome too since it comes with a hidden flick-fire compartment despite is quite a common function and easily created.
