#852747 Pirate Battle Pack

Looks like LEGO is making a battle pack for Pirates theme too just like Castle theme. However, there is much different between the battle pack of both theme. Whereby you get two faction in one set and less minifigure which is four and a monkey, but it include a great acccessories. Below are the image:

The pros of this set is that you can get monkey without having to buy those large set like Soldier's Fort and Brickbeard Bounty. On top of that we get the captain minifigs too.

#852753 Vintage Minifigure Collection vol.4

#852753 Vintage Minifigure Collection vol.4 looks a little more promising. However, there is still old spaceman in it, kinda sad to see them in every set of vintage minifigure collection.

However we will have old minifigure from castle theme also forestman, blacktron and santa, which all four of them are my favourite. Below are the image:

LEGO Pirates #852750 Pirates Tic Tac Toe

Looks like pirates theme will have his own tic tac toe set too just like the castle theme whereby the tic tac toe uses the skeleton knight and human knight. However, the new pirates tic tac toe are a little different from the castle one, whereby they give you a different minifigs insteal of same minifig for both faction.

Here's the images:

I guess this is another a must have set other than the advent calendar to the pirates fans and also LEGO board game lover. I think I will buy a copy myself too if there's enough budget.

A great set for army building too, at least you have less twins compare to if you buy pirates impulse.

And here's the link to the set, which is still unavailable:

LEGO Toy Story

Toy Story used to be my favourite cartoon and during SDCC, LEGO also show us the minifigs of Toy Story. I'm pretty impress with LEGO, making all these cool minifigs. I guess we have the new leg piece as well, which is way longer than the normal one.

I myself like the minfigs of the aliens and Zerg as they looks good to me. Certainly a must get for next year maybe? now we got more army to build, which is the armymen army. Hope LEGO will release the prachuter as well.

LEGO Prince of Persia

LEGO has reveal the minfigs for the coming Prince of Persia theme. Not sure why I got some kiddy feeling, maybe is because of the ostrich (I'm not a fans for Prince of Persia, not know if those guys have names or not).

The minifigs are just awesome as we get more new torso, headgear, and even hairpiece. Not sure if we gonna have a new face though and by the way, we will be getting camel too.

It seems like UK will have this set release earlier than the United State and Canada. It will be release on 25th August for UK. Guess most of the OT fans will get this set to add into their collection. Below are the image of the minifigs taken from FBTB:

Looks like the guy mess up Captain Antilles face with normal rebel face. He looks happy though, must have struck a space jackpot.

SDCC 09 Exclusives

So here's the content that we are waiting to see from SDCC 09 Exclusive set. It turn out to be . . .

A mini AT-TE and a mini dropship. This set itself will cost you $50. Not sure it is worth for a 2 mini model or for the 202 pieces. The box sure looks big to me, don't think this set is worth getting but the dropship do carry the mini AT-TE though.

Anyway, I guess most of the people will find alternative to save their money which is find the instructions and buy the bricks itself to construct this two models.

Also there will be six collectible display set from LEGO which consist of 3 minifigs and some cool background, like what Hasbro do for the battle pack.

They look not bad and some are worth buying since we only want the minifigs but not the whole set. I guess the one with Mon Calamari will be the best seller among all six of them.

LEGO Power Miners #8709 Underground Mining Station

The date for the release of for #8709 Underground Mining Station has drawn near and some lucky places even have them release earlier than the expected date. Anyway below are the shot of the box art, which is clearer:

Now that you can see this set contains 637 pieces, but it still looks so empty, maybe there are too much small pieces included in this set.

LEGO Star Wars #10198 Rebel Blockade Runner

Finally we have the pictures of the long-waited Rebel Blockade Runner.

Well, this time it looks better but I wonder how the fit in a transparent windscreen into that round piece. Still we are curious whether there will be minifigs included in this set or this is another mid-scale set like Millenium Falcon.

It is said to be Hoth battle pack which is not surprising at all since LEGO has already release Snow Trooper in the magnet set. So is quite true that they will be Hoth battle pack. above image are taken from avenged110's Brickshelf folder.

MOC Town Building

Well I stumble upon this cool building by ericblacky when I'm checking through Brickshelf for new pictures on new set. Although it is still WIP, but i can see that this building turn out to be pretty interesting.

I like the design of this building and even though it is not completed yet but I think he can make it into some damage building as well, especially the one like damage during the war.
