LEGO Minifigures Gift Set

I thought I'm a happy man to have the Target LEGO Minifigures Gift Set to reach me safely from all the way from the United States. A week or two passed and now there is another one that is being upoaded on Taobao.

If you asked me who is Lightning Lad, I seriously have no idea. I only know super heroes and their villain through LEGO playset. But another one to be added into collection and it will be a good news if this is easily accessible to the public. 

Kai on the other hand seems like the other version from reboot version, somehow the print gave me this feeling that was a reboot print. And well City comes out with a diver which may be from Exploration theme while I have no idea who on earth is that from Legends of Chima, some say is Sir Fangar.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70228 Vultrix's Sky Scavenger

LEGO Legends of Chima seems to continues with a lot more set next year. We did see the pictures of next year set a month or two ago but this is something new which none of us seen it until two days ago.

If you asked me, I will said I do not like the design of this sky scavenger although it is an exclusive set.  However this set seems to have same playability like detachable vehicle. Again, from design wise Worriz's Combat Lair seems to looks better and more promising with more playability. Maybe I should wait for 50% discount just like all the Legends of Chima playset here in Malaysia.

Target's LEGO Minifigures Gift Set

This might be an old news but this set here contains three great minifigures. This is sold separately in Target at $15 or get it for free by spending $50 on LEGO products.

I managed to get mine at MYR100 off Bricklink, I guess this is the best deal I'm able to find so far with the Ringgit continues to weakens. Not sure if these minifigures will be release in the future set but I think is best just to get one set to keep although I do not like the Swamp Police minifigs. LEGO Legends of Chima #70133 and #70134 Picture.

The pictures surfaced a week ago and I only have time now to update it. Below are pictures taken from Brickset:

#70133 Spinlyn’s Cavern

#70134 Lavertus’ Outland Base

Spinlyn’s Cavern (#70133) is cheaper than Lavertus’ Outland Base (#70134) and it comes with such a unique minifig like Spinlyn, which a lot of fans are madly in love with it. Other than that the Rhino bike do seems interesting as well as the cavern which have a little of the spider element added in it. There is a number of playability listed in LS@H description. I think is a great set to own.

Lavertus’ Outland Base on the other hand looks like another piece of wall with some playability. However, I like the looks of the spider buggy. It does comes with a number of flick-fire and a gattling gun that actually spin. Maybe I get it when it is given discount.

Some countries have both of these sets released while some still need to wait patiently for them to be released.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70127 Wolf Legend Beast Review

I'm a slow in updating news recently and finally, the last Legend Beast that is being reviewed. Below sit the picture of the gigantic white wolf that Brickset present to us:

I guess the beast looks great even without stickers apply on them. The minifigs is nice too in my opinion. 

Now the question is how much this set will cost here in Malaysia. This theme does not do well here in Malaysia and they are now discounted for 30 to 50+10% off the year end sales. Even with such a discount, they still hardly move. I sure hopes this kind of set not exceed RM40 each though.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70126 Crocodile Legend Beast Review

In my opinion, the Crocs are currently the best minifigs in Legends of Chima theme, followed by the Gorrila, I guess next year will have a change in it. Anyway, here's a way the best minifig and his legend beast:

Seems like the after one turns good, the blade also switch colour from red to blue. The croc beast does looks good too even it looks plain without sticker. It does comes with a number of new interesting parts too.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70125 Gorilla Legend Beast Review

Before this Gorzan seems rare, but sets after sets that have him in it, it pretty much brings down his value. This would be the third set that you can get the minifigs and it also happens to turn out a good option to get the minifig.

All the minifigs that comes with the Legend Beast line are pretty much the same old minifigs with different armor (maybe). In other words, same prints, maybe the previous set does not sells so well so repackaging them in this Legend Beast line to sell them all out. The beast looks good though and we do have some new parts.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70124 Eagle Legend Beast Review

Here's another one but too bad there is no full shot of Eris riding the Legend Beast from the Brickset. Below are picture taken from the review:

Somehow the looks of this Legend Beast does not seems that good, but you get a fully geared Eris, just like other Legend Beast set where all the minifigs will be fully armed. Usually the set comes with printed parts and sticker sheet to further decorate the Legend Beast.

If any of you have not own the minifigs yet, I guess this is the one good option as well, Laval never make appearance in any polybag set so currently this is cheapest option. I like the lion too. It looks great and probably it is wearing some sort of armor.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70107 Skunk Attack Review

LEGO Legends of Chima seems to have a great minifigs, especially the Crocs faction. In this second wave, they are introducing the Gorrila faction and skunk that are only available in Speedorz set. Now after reading the review from Brickset, it kinds of turns me off from getting the set. Below picture is taken from Brickset:

By adding a couple of more parts, the price rocketed to 70MYR per set, but is sad to see that the price of last wave Ninjago spinner price rocketed as well in the local market, which makes it totally not worth buying. Perhaps you might want to read this review and decides whether to get a set of #70107 Skunk Attack or not.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70014 The Croc Swamp Hideout

This might or might not be an exclusive LEGO Legends of Chima playset, but we are not aware of this set before this. It was perfectly kept in secret until just recently, Grogall uncover the images. Below is the picture via Eurobricks:

I'm not sure how much you guys like this set, but there is no new minifigs or exclusive one in this set. You can skip it if you are not a perfectionist. The design looks interesting and on the playability I can only see the snapping mouth of the croc, rotating crane, flick-fire, and the cage which can be drop off. We do have the lion castle coming, maybe you need this as a base to the evil crocs.

I really agree that this is the cheapest ways to get the minifigs but there is something to highlight, since it is not  officially released locally here the price might vary. But still you can go for it if it falls under RM45. Otherwise  it would not make a difference for you to get the Speedorz set when it it released.

There are six buildable figures coming from this theme as well. How much you like it is pretty much depends on you. But my friend do told me, why not buy them and modified it into the mech which can pilot by the minifigs? Good idea, but no time for the modification.

LEGO Legends of Chima #30250 Ewar's Acro Fighter Review

Legends of Chima, I do not have a good impression on this theme before the release, but after looking at all the playset, it is something that you must collect if you have the funds. This is definitely new by LEGO and no one knows how can it going to turn out.

I would say this set is strictly for Ewar minifig, the fighter looks awful. Again the new mold might be costly to LEGO and this might be the reason why the fighter is awful looking and the other reason is that this is a promotional set that comes in polybag. Thirst quencher sort of thing.

LEGO Legends of Chima #30253 Leonidas' Jungle Dragster Review

Bricks Review written two review on Legends of Chima polybag playset and one of them happen to be #30253 Leonidas' Jungle Dragster which not many people fancy about. Perhaps the review might change your perception towards this polybag?

With all the new character this one looks good too especially the lion helmet. The face is a little duisappointed. I wonder did Leonidas smoke pot or something, his face shows like he is high on drugs or something. The vehicle looks ok to me though not so cool.

Guess it pretty much explain why the Speedorz set are more expensive than the Ninjago Spinner set. The Speedorz set comes with some parts and something else to build and well of course the whole thing is bigger and the seal seems to improved as well. The only downside, not as easy as the Ninjago theme to get the minifigs, since Speedorz are more expensive.

The new theme do comes with some new parts which you might find it useful for your own MOC later on. The Eagle Interceptor seems to have some playability although we still have the flick-fire missiles as one of the playability and you can see the eagle shape in it.
