More LEGO Star Wars 2010 Images

Well I guess you guys might want to see more pictures regarding LEGO Star Wars 2010 sets. However, there is still no sign of new pictures of Luke Landspeeder which include a handsome amount of minifigs. Below are the images found in Eurobricks:

#8083 Rebel Trooper Army Pack

It seems like all those rebel got new headgear, instead of only one with new headgear according to Amazon. The minifigs is amazing!

#8084 Snow Trooper Army Pack

It seems like there is a new headgear and new torso from this set. Those who like Imperial Army sure will need to stock up a lot of these.

#8085 Freeco Speeder

The speeder turn out great and of course the new Talz minifig (if I recall the name rightly). But again, it comes with Anakin, the kids hero maybe?

#8086 Droid Tri-Fighter

I looks better compare to the previous version, and it gives more minifig than the previous version too and is a good chance to own one of this if missed out the previous version.

#8087 TIE Defender

This is from Expanded Universe, and there has been a few set from expanded universe like TIE Crawler, and Rogue Shadow, will be a need to purchase to complete your expanded universe series.

#8088 ARC-170 Starfigher

This sets still looks good although is a second version. Well, it includes Kit Fisto which I don't know why and new Clone Pilot helmet which is face revealing.

LEGO Collectable Minifigs Image

I have posted about this one in the previous post, but without pictures and here is the picture of the minifigs:

We got Zombie minifig too, what a surprise. I can see a lot of cool new stuff there like the robot headgear, clown hair, pom pom. Pretty cool eh?

According to Brickset, it will be release on June 2010 and will last only about two months before they are out and another new figs are coming.

#10210 Imperial Flagship Review

A Eurobricks member, Svelte who is a lucky guy as he manage to get this #10210 Imperial Flagship early and the good news is that, he have put up a review in Eurobricks. Anyway it is a cool ship everyone would like to own.

Since we are all curious about the set, it is best that there is a review for us to refer to before we make any purchase, but still this ship is bigger than the one Brickbeard own.

Here's the link to the review: Eurobricks

The End of Bionicle

The rumor seems to be pretty true that Bionicle will end next year and of course it is a sad news for the Bionicle fans that have been supporting Bionicle all along. With the release of six Bionicle next year, which is Bionicle Stars, it will be the last release for the Bionicle line.

This however, do not end everything, the Bionicle story will still continues. Below are article extracted from BZP:
_________________________________________________________

Dear BIONICLE Fans,

In reviewing the business across all of its play patterns and properties, the LEGO Group faced a tough question: should we take on a new creative challenge in the world of buildable figures that we pioneered in 2001?

BIONICLE re-invented the way consumers think of and play with the LEGO system. Through many chapters of compelling story and innovative product development, BIONICLE became a very strong property and an important part of The LEGO Group’s business. We think there is a significant opportunity to grow the buildable figure category, but it will take a more flexible platform that appeals to a wider range of ages through a variety of different entry points than BIONICLE has proven to deliver.

The easy decision would be to stick with a known entity in BIONICLE; but as history has proven, The LEGO Group achieves its greatest success by embracing the uncertainty that innovation brings. After all, BIONICLE almost never launched because it was such a big risk to the company’s way of doing business.

Because you have been such an important part of building the BIONICLE franchise and have been among its most valued fans, we are writing to tell you that the six BIONICLE Stars launching in January will be the last BIONICLE sets for the foreseeable future. Beginning in summer 2010, The LEGO Group will debut a new, more flexible buildable figure property created by the same people who brought you BIONICLE. At the same time, we are also expanding the category to appeal to a younger audience through an established third-party property, starting in January.

Since its beginning, BIONICLE has reflected the union of great product and a compelling story. Although there presently are no plans for more sets, the BIONICLE story is not ending. BIONICLEstory.com will remain an active site, with new story content updated by long-time BIONICLE writer Greg Farshtey. In addition, LEGO Group hopes to work with you, the fans, to continue to grow and expand the BIONICLE story universe.

This was an extremely difficult decision for all involved. But as seen in the tales of the Toa, striving for success in any mission requires imagination, new ways of thinking, and the willingness to take risks. We hope you will share the same level of enthusiasm we have for our plans for the buildable figure category.

We invite you to remain a part of the BIONICLE universe—a universe you have helped to build, and that we are confident that you will continue to build—in the future. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the BIONICLE and LEGO brands.

With our very best regards,
Jan Faltum, Global BIONICLE Director
Lincoln Armstrong, Senior Brand Manager, BIONICLE Team Member since 2002

LEGO Collectable Minifigure

I heard that there will be something different coming in 2010, which is the Collectable Minifigure and here's some details about it:

- each (one) minifig are randomly pack

- contains 16 kind of minifigs

- each box are of the same design and we do not know which minifig we are getting as we can't see inside.

This one is different from Vintage Minifigure Collection as the come one by one instead of five per set and we don't know which minifig we will be getting. Guess this is another LEGO new marketing strategy to make us buy more of it's product.

There are no images available yet however, and also the price is unknown, hope TLC give a reasonable price to it.

It will release here, Malaysia in May 2010.

LEGO Power Miners 2010 Box Art

We have seen the box art of the mech and the fire blaster. Now let us see the bigger set, which is the base and some sort of truck. Below are the (blurry) image of the box art:

There will be two magma monster from the base, one big and one small. Hopefully the base won't cost us much as it seems to be build from a few pieces.

Images from Amazon Japan.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Battle Pack Box Art

Amazon Japan have the pictures uploaded, but they are still blurry. But should be viewable if they are smaller. Below are the pictures:
#8083 Rebel Trooper Army Pack

#8084 Snow Trooper Army Pack

The box art sure looks nice and of course, we will have to stock up plenty of them as they give us new headgear and of course a cool speeder for #8084 Snow Trooper Army Pack. Time to build your Hoth scene.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Box Art

Well, these are the pictures that most of us are waiting for, the Star Wars theme images. Below are some find from Amazon:
#8085 Freeco Speeder
177 pieces
Amazon

#8086 Droid Tri-Fighter
268 pieces
Amazon

#8087 TIE Defender
304 pieces
Amazon

#8088 ARC-170 Starfigher
396 pieces
Amazon

As for the commander droid, there are just an extra printing on the head and the torso. But since I miss the old version Droid Tri-Fighter, I might be getting one.

Everything seems good to me except #8087 TIE Defender, maybe because of the small cockpic in the middle of those big wings. Also I'm not sure whether the Imperial Pilot using new helmet or not.

As for #8088 ARC-170 Starfigher, we get new Clone Pilot helmet, and I suppose one of them are Captain Jag. If you miss the previous release, it is time to get one now. But why Kit Fisto???

Images from Amazon.

LEGO Atlantis Box Art

Here's a few box art of the Atlantis theme, maybe I miss out some in the previous post since there is still confidential words on it. Anyway, here' the box art:
#8058 Guardian of the Deep
144 pieces
Amazon
#8059 Seabed Scavenger
119 pieces
Amazon
#8061 Gateway of the Squid
353 pieces
Amazon
#8075 Neptune Carrier
475 pieces
Amazon

Looks like the biggest set for now is #8075 Neptune Carrier, I also learn that this carrier are able to deploy a seabed rover and scout minisub and I guess this is the best vehicle in the team for now.

Guess I have a chance of owning all the sea monster now since Gateway of the Squid turn out to be cheap.

Images from Amazon.

LEGO Toy Story 2010 Box Art

After months of no new pictures, we finally, have new pictures. There are some pictures of the coming Toy Story theme although not much are available, but at least we get to see the box art.
#7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue
92 pieces

What a long name this set have. Anyway this set looks good to me and we get a pull back motor function also the design of the car are pretty much match the the one in the show.

#7592 Construct-a-Buzz
205 pieces

Here's the gigantic Buzz Lightyear we see, but I have no idea what's the alien guy doing there. Maybe it was included with this set or it was just place there for fun? Probably we will get one I suppose.

Both of this set is up in Amazon, release on 1st January 2010.

For the review, please visit: Raid VPR

This set cost USD19.99. Sets include 188 pieces with two minifigs. But consider the purple parts you are getting, it should worth the money.

LEGO Atlantis reviews

Some of 2010 set have been release in the United States, but so far, not all of the Toys'R'Us have them. But anyway, here some Atlantis review that you can read from Mostly Bricks. A very nice theme I would say for the Atlantis theme.

Mostly Bricks have review three Atlantis sets and they are #8056 Monster Crab Clash, #8058 Guardian of the Deep, and #8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub. Each of the set are priced USD6.99, USD14.99 and USD24.99 respectively.

For the reviews, please visit:
Mostly Bricks

The site include a pretty cool pics on the set. Guess I'm definitely buying them as soon as they release.

Bionicle Stars Piraka and Rahkshi

Looks like some place release sets earlier than it suppose to be, not sure where it is though. Below are some pictures I found from Toa77's Brickshelf gallery:

Finally we get to see the Piraka, and it is in blue. Anyway, LEGO has modified the mask of Piraka. But I prefer the old looks of Piraka, which is much better.

For more images, please visit:
Toa77's Brickshelf gallery

While here's the Rahkshi that is in yellow color, not really sure if there's a different in the size of the old and the star. But again, I prefer the old one, but it seems like the old one does not have any yellow Rahkshi, I guess people will buy this one.

For more images, please visit:
Toa77's Brickshelf gallery

Lastly, the gold part included (which is not gold coating) is to attached to Tahu. Guess they are some special armor for him, but it looks like LEGO is copying Hasbro action figure by including different parts in each action figure to assemble another figure. LEGO now separating the armor for Tahu too.

LEGO Prince of Persia minifigs

The movie for Prince of Persia should be release soon I suppose and LEGO already have license to create the play sets. Not sure how it will turn out to be, but there are many new headgear, and new stuff from this theme, like camel.

Anyway, below are the shot of minifigs of the main character:

I like the way how the sword are kept, I think they are not using clips to clip it.

LEGO Ben10 Site Is Up!

As we all know, Ben10, the kids favourite cartoon will be in LEGO version too and now LEGO has set up a new site for their new theme. Hopefully kids will like LEGO Ben10.

The site let us view the bio of the monster, but only one for now while the other remain lock and it will be release on January next year.

LEGO Power Miners 2010 Lava Monsters

While browsing Brickshelf this morning, I came across with a page from Power Miners 2010 instruction book. It seems like there is a number of new lava monster (I guess this is the name for the new rock monster) with the release of the set. Below are the picture extracted from Brickshelf:

Those new monster actually looks better than the current one except for their big brother on the right, seems hard to see the face. As for the picture of completed #8188, please visit thecrazyone's Brickshelf gallery.
