LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia Minifigure

There is something nice coming our way this time round with the new exclusive minifigures which I am interested with. This time round, we are going to get Boba Fett in prototype armor from the latest LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia.

This minifigure was revealed two days ago on DK US Facebook page. Compare with the previous two, old school Luke and Emperor Palpatine or Darth Sidious, I would prefer this one more. A great addition of minifigure to be added into your collection. Not sure how much this book is priced here yet and I guess this is why we have a loads of new minifigures lately, so we could have more dictionary.

LEGO Star Wars #75095 TIE Fighter

New York Toy Fair definitely have a lot of LEGO set to be shown and here we go, today is a day where we start to do financial planning for our LEGO collection. Anyway, back to the topic, this is one huge set with a lot less feature that is coming this May.

1,685 pieces.
US $199.99

Presenting the Ultimate Collector Series TIE Fighter – the iconic Imperial starfighter!

We proudly present the Ultimate Collector Series LEGO® Star Wars TIE Fighter. pistol. And when you want to keep it safe from Rebel attack, mount the model on the display stand and keep yourself updated with all the key facts and figures on the included fact plaque. The Ultimate Collector Series TIE Fighter is the perfect addition to your Star Wars collection!

• TIE Fighter measures 18.5” (47cm) high, 12” (30.6cm) long and 12.2” (31cm) wide

GST is coming for fellow Malaysian and if price remain the same this set might be selling at MYR849.90 which I doubt. Anyway there is not much features in this set but is really something popular that all the Star Wars fans would have want to add into their collection. The set does comes with a TIE Pilot with printed hand just like Boba Fett in Slave 1. Now I wonder how much my #9492 TIE Fighter will cost now. . . Hmm. . .

LEGO Pirates #40158 Chess Set

Well this is something new that I spotted today when I browse the LEGO Certified Store, the new LEGO Pirates Chess set.

The set was priced at MYR249.90 comes with 857 pieces. I think this is way more worth than the Kingdoms Chess Set. Seems like there is a lot of bricks and you can keep the minifigures under it when you are not playing them. The two side can be combined into a shore. My thought, is reasonably priced with 20 minifigures.

The price tag here definitely going to be crazy with the current weakening ringgit and GST coming although some rumors said that TLG will absorb it. Let's hope ringgit getting stronger by the time this set was released, but there is no doubt that this is more expensive than the Star Wars Sandcrawler.

LEGO DC Super Heroes #30303 The Joker Bumper Car

I wonder if it's only me that feels there are so much nice minifigures of polybag set from the super heroes theme. Although it is not a something new to be shared but I found this polybag interesting.

#30303 The Joker Bumper Car

Made out of 47 pieces and you get a Joker minifigures and a pie on his hand to give a good slap to Batman. Awesome! I like the bumper car design, we should create more so there can be a bumper race between the good and the bad.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier Minifigures

Winter Soldier will have his own minifigures in LEGO universe. We did see him in a game and a bootleg version of the minifigures until the official one surface online. No idea why there is no Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier playset release by LEGO.

No idea how to get this yet, I have not seen Electro yet too. Hope they will release as soon as possible and people are able to grab them all for their collection.

LEGO Minifigures Gift Set

I thought I'm a happy man to have the Target LEGO Minifigures Gift Set to reach me safely from all the way from the United States. A week or two passed and now there is another one that is being upoaded on Taobao.

If you asked me who is Lightning Lad, I seriously have no idea. I only know super heroes and their villain through LEGO playset. But another one to be added into collection and it will be a good news if this is easily accessible to the public.

Kai on the other hand seems like the other version from reboot version, somehow the print gave me this feeling that was a reboot print. And well City comes out with a diver which may be from Exploration theme while I have no idea who on earth is that from Legends of Chima, some say is Sir Fangar.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Trickster Minifigures

Here's another minifigures from DC Super Heroes universe, which we all have no news about it at all and all of a sudden this guy pop up. Looking at the packaging it is either from the movie or encyclopedia or dictionary.

The minifigures are printed on the both side of his torso and hand as well. Looks pretty good though and hardcore super heroes fans might want to have this super villain as well.

Image from Taobao.

LEGO Star Wars Admiral Yularen Minifigures

Well a couple of days ago, we have some unseen minifigures surface on the web. Here's a new minifigures in a polybag from LEGO Star Wars universe which were put on sales in Taobao (a shopping for heaven for most of the ladies).

The thing is, this minifigures are expensive on Taobao but for those who like to have their hand on the minifigures first can try to purchase it from there. Seems like a promotional polybag, either with purchase or game (if there is any). Wonder how they get their hand on this. For a minifigure like me, I guess I will just wait until this is release to the public. Not to mention I'm still waiting for Electro.

LEGO Legends of Chima #70228 Vultrix's Sky Scavenger

LEGO Legends of Chima seems to continues with a lot more set next year. We did see the pictures of next year set a month or two ago but this is something new which none of us seen it until two days ago.

#70228 Vultrix's Sky Scavenger

If you asked me, I will said I do not like the design of this sky scavenger although it is an exclusive set.  However this set seems to have same playability like detachable vehicle. Again, from design wise Worriz's Combat Lair seems to looks better and more promising with more playability. Maybe I should wait for 50% discount just like all the Legends of Chima playset here in Malaysia.

Images from Brickfan.

Target's LEGO Minifigures Gift Set

This might be an old news but this set here contains three great minifigures. This is sold separately in Target at $15 or get it for free by spending $50 on LEGO products.

I managed to get mine at MYR100 off Bricklink, I guess this is the best deal I'm able to find so far with the Ringgit continues to weakens. Not sure if these minifigures will be release in the future set but I think is best just to get one set to keep although I do not like the Swamp Police minifigs. For more information on the new Lego 2018 minifigure series, visit the Ninja Brick website here.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Revealed

I have not completed my Series 12 minifigures yet and here it comes, the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 is being announce. Personally I found most of the minifigures are interesting however there are some friends of mine that said otherwise. Picture below is taken from LEGO Facebook:

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13

Here's the list of the minifigures:
- Unicorn Girl
- Hot Dog Man
- Paleontologist
- Snake Charmer
- Galaxy Trooper
- Sheriff
- Samurai
- Lady Cyclops
- Classic King
- Goblin
- Fencer
- Evil Wizard
- Egyptian Warrior
- Disco Diva
- Carpenter
- Alien Trooper

There are a few that I dislike but I hope they put the right minifigures with the right amount and put those most hated one with the least number in a box. Otherwise the favourite minifigures will hit a all time high price while the umpopular stays low as they meant to be.

LEGO Ideas #21301 Birds

So far I only have BTTF De Lorean and Ghost Buster Ecto-1. There's a few set that I have skipped but this set, LEGO Ideas #21301 Birds looks just nice. Images below are taken from Eurobricks:

LEGO Ideas #21301 Birds

The bird set comes with Blue Jay, Hummingbird, and Robin. The designed of each of the birds looks terrific and  I loved the color of each of this birds very much. This set will be on sale on January 2015.

Now that the birds are revealed, is time to look forward for The Big Bang Theory Ideas set to be revealed.

LEGO The Simpsons #71005 LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons Series Revealed

Just a few days ago, LEGO have posted a picture of the upcoming LEGO Collectable Minifigures that are coming in May. We all know that The Simpsons is coming but we do not know what are the character that will be included and now we know.

#71005 LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons Series

Some say the minifigures that were given in the house looks a bit blur, maybe their eyes was half open instead of fully open like the one that are coming in this series. But overall, that is still one good house and this is still one good minifigures collectibles.

LEGO Star Wars Exclusive Darth Revan Minifigure

This minifigures that was revealed a few days ago seems like going to be the May the 4th promotion exclusive minifigs as per confirmed by The Brickfan. Below is the picture of minifigure taken from Brickset:

Darth Revan

I guess I will wait for someone to import it and get it from that guy but I think is quite hard to get a good price for this minifigures since this is a Sith we are talking about and it is May the 4th promotional minifigures. Unless he is not as popular as the other Sith then maybe we can get at a good price.

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary

A new version of LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary is coming our way again. This is not something new as we have heard of it a few months back together with other LEGO book that are going to be release.

I'm guessing they are out of idea on which minifigures to be included with the dictionary and now they are including us with “Retro” Luke Skywalker minifig that comes in yellow flesh. There must be many other character that are not released yet but oh well, sometimes is good to get some old looking minifigure.

LEGO The Simpsons #71006 The Simpsons House Picture

New pictures of The Simpsons largest playset revealed today, and no doubt, in the world of LEGO it is a headline of the day, thanks to Carlos S from Eurobricks. I am kind of slow in updating this, but it looks great.

I only watched the movie once, not much of a chance to watch this series here. I think is a very good house with interior in it, just that the price tag might worries me a little. Even non-Simpsons fans plan to get it, I can't imagine about Simpsons fans, is a instabuy I suppose.

LEGO Star Wars Exclusive TC-4 Minifigure

Toys "R" Us Hong Kong (TRU) always comes up with great deals for early bird and it indirectly revealed another exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigure for this year which is shown in the picture below:

Another protocol droid to hunt and added into our collection. It looks good anyway and die hard Star Wars fans still have to get their hand on this. Now I see fans collecting Jedi, Sith, Troopers, Astromech Droid and even Protocol Droids nowadays due to the variant that were offered. Looking forward for the release here.

On the other hand, despite TRU Malaysia is under the same Fung Group as TRU Hong Kong there are no such sweet deals here. For AFOLs in Malaysia, we pretty much like to avoid TRU unless it was Collectible Minifigures Series or the last bet we have left to get the set from them otherwise we will opt for other stores which gives us 10% discount (that is very common here). I still see parents buying off TRU shelves here in Malaysia, maybe because their kids making noise during that time, but I can tell the parents that it was not wise choice.
