LEGO Pirates #40158 Chess Set

Well this is something new that I spotted today when I browse the LEGO Certified Store, the new LEGO Pirates Chess set.

The set was priced at MYR249.90 comes with 857 pieces. I think this is way more worth than the Kingdoms Chess Set. Seems like there is a lot of bricks and you can keep the minifigures under it when you are not playing them. The two side can be combined into a shore. My thought, is reasonably priced with 20 minifigures.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Minifigs Gallery Updated

This theme ended with the release of Black Pearl and I suppose there is not anymore set from this theme unless there are movies coming again.

I assume they have added the crews of the Flying Dutchman and the galley contains all the minifigs that is released in that theme. Is not a bad theme after all I would said.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean #4184 Black Pearl Review

Many of us, especially the LEGO pirate fans must have waited long time for this set to release and the pictorial review of this set is up at LUGpol.

You guys probably need translator to read the review. I think the ship looks good, just that the box art captured the wrong angle of the ship. Seeing the comparison with QAR they are about the same size. Also, the minifigs is great!

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean #4181 Isla De La Muerta Review

Bricks Review is updated today with a another review of LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean. #4181 Isla De La Muerta pictorial review is up on the site for you viewing. Picture below is taken from Flickr:

This is a pretty good set to get your hand on the minifigs. You get four minifigs at RM100+ and some new accessories like gold bar and also a boat. In my opinion, I think is very worth it to get it locally as the pricing here is cheap.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean #853219

Something new is coming and is release in Singapore. It is the minfigs pack for Pirates of the Caribbean. Below are the pictures taken from Eurobricks:

It seems like three of the minifigs are from Captain's Cabin which you very much can afford it while the other two I suppose is from The London Escape and Whitecap Bay. Guess we only focus of the other two minifigs if we buy the minifigs pack.

According to the person that own this, it is said to have a little improvement on the quality but there are still marks on the hand and have no marking on the neck.

The minifigs from this set sure are attractive and there are a few playability that comes with it which I think is not bad at all. This set is retailing at RM219.90 over here in Malaysia and for those that are interested can take a look at the review.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean #4192 Aqua de Vida Review

Jammiedodger from Eurobricks has made a pictorial review for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean #4192 Fountain of Youth or Aqua de Vida and below is a picture taken from the review:

For some reason, this set has fewer piece but the price here is slightly more expensive than Isla De La Muerta. I guess most people will go for the other set as that set include more accessories. This set is retail at RM119.90 over here which I think is not that worth getting.
