Our Favourite LEGO CMF Series 18 Characters

Just prior to the New York Toy Fair and before any leaks were shown, LEGO announced the full lineup of the LEGO CMF Series 18 characters. This series celebrates the 40th anniversary of the minifigure, and hence has a Costume Party-theme. There are 17 minifigures to collect and will be available this April. They do look very different to most traditional 16 minifigure series - especially with the orange display stands.

LEGO CMF Series 18

The character list for the LEGO CMF Series 18 is as follows:

• Balloon Artist Clown
• Birthday Cake Guy
• Blue Suit Brick Girl
• Blue Unicorn Knight
• Cactus Girl
• Cat Suit Guy
• Cowboy Suit Guy
• Elephant Suit Girl
• Fireworks Guy
• Race Car Guy
• Flower Girl
• Police Officer
• Purple Balloon Girl
• Red Suit Brick Guy
• Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy
• Red Dragon Suit Guy
• Spider Suit Guy

Our Favourite Characters?

Blue Suit Brick Girl and Red Suit Brick Guy

Our two favourite characters from the LEGO CMF Series 18 collection are Blue Suit Brick Girl and Red Suit Brick Guy. These are really unique and definitely celebrate 40 years of the minifigure - could there also be a hint at 60 years of the brick?

Red Dragon Suit Guy

Our next favourite Series 18 minifigure would have to be the Red Dragon Suit Guy. This is a really cool throwback to the Fantasy Era Dragon from 2007. The attention to detail is also really good.

Race Car Guy

Race Car Guy is another favourite from the LEGO CMF Series 18 list. It's a really nice throwback to the Rocket Racer minifigure from the Rocket Racer game (notice the 'RR'). Also the car featuring the number 40 is awesome. Overall this minifigure looks great and could be used easily outside of the series.

Police Officer

The Police Officer is another favourite. Not much has changed since his 1978 LEGO 600 version (as shown by the gift he's holding). We've also heard that this special minifigure is available only once in a full 60 pack box. A really cool throwback for sure.

Conclusion

That's our favourites from the LEGO CMF Series 18 collection. We also like Fireworks Guy, Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy, Balloon Artist Clown and Spider Suit Guy! What are your favourite characters?

- The Hulk

This is the character that I know of right now and seeing that the SDCC exclusive pair are not coming with any minifigures, I bet these are the same.

LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia Minifigure

There is something nice coming our way this time round with the new exclusive minifigures which I am interested with. This time round, we are going to get Boba Fett in prototype armor from the latest LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia.

This minifigure was revealed two days ago on DK US Facebook page. Compare with the previous two, old school Luke and Emperor Palpatine or Darth Sidious, I would prefer this one more. A great addition of minifigure to be added into your collection. Not sure how much this book is priced here yet and I guess this is why we have a loads of new minifigures lately, so we could have more dictionary.

LEGO Star Wars #75095 TIE Fighter

New York Toy Fair definitely have a lot of LEGO set to be shown and here we go, today is a day where we start to do financial planning for our LEGO collection. Anyway, back to the topic, this is one huge set with a lot less feature that is coming this May.

LEGO 70728 Ninjago Battle for Ninjago City Review

This is definitely a must get for me, but it is still in my wishlist, hope am able to get it before the free sheep were out of stock here. At the mean time, let me influence you guys to get this set with a review made by others.

Lego 70728 Battle for Ninjago City Review

This set comes with eight minifigures and lots of features, the price is MYR549.90, and is definitely a harsh price tag for me despite being cheaper compare to the sets from last last year, but is definitely a good set to be consider since it has great design and features to play with.

For those of you that have not gotten the set just like me, you may click on the link below the pictures for viewing pleasure or to help you on your decision before the free sheep is gone, especially for Malaysian.

LEGO Ninjago #70753 Lava Falls Review

Here't the number two smallest set of this round LEGO Ninjago playset, somehow this one was priced higher. Below is a picture taken from a review in Eurobricks:

#70753 Lava Falls Review

This one does comes with the Jade Blade collection too, but in scythe kind of look. At least this time round, no, maybe since the Reboot, the collectibles were easier to get as they are mostly available in smaller set rather than a big one. This set is selling at MYR34.90 right now featuring a falling bridge. I guess the price is higher due to the parts that we get from this set.

In case you have not bought this set yet, and you are still considering, just click on the link below the picture to read the review.

LEGO Ninjago #70752 Jungle Trap Review

The Ninjago theme seems to attracts me, I got almost all of the set for this wave, left out 2 more sets due to tight budget. Anyway, here's a small affordable set, #70752 Jungle Trap which were retail at MYR29.90. Just in case you have not get one, here's a review in Eurobricks:

#70752 Jungle Trap Review

Nowadays TLG always gives us something to collect in most of the theme, for this instance, Jade Blade which were included in the lower tier Ninjago playset that range from MYR29.90 to MYR79.90. I would say a good grab although the set usually comes with two minifigures. I have not opened mine, but to fill up your free time with LEGO set and lack of budget, I'll recommend you this set.

You may click on the link below the image to get to the review page.

LEGO Pirates #40158 Chess Set

Well this is something new that I spotted today when I browse the LEGO Certified Store, the new LEGO Pirates Chess set.

The set was priced at MYR249.90 comes with 857 pieces. I think this is way more worth than the Kingdoms Chess Set. Seems like there is a lot of bricks and you can keep the minifigures under it when you are not playing them. The two side can be combined into a shore. My thought, is reasonably priced with 20 minifigures.

LEGO Ideas #21301 Birds Landed in Malaysia

This is the first ever LEGO Ideas set that landed in Malaysia and this is something that I look forward for. Although this does not fit into any theme, but the birds are great!

#21301 Birds

580 pieces

MYR219.90

If you like birds or any brick-built animal, although this one is closer to realistic version kind of animal compare to the Creators cat and monkey, then this is not to be missed. I might get one to keep and never to open due to the nice box art.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes #76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier

Here's something everyone is looking forward for ever since someone saw it in one of the Designer video. The Helicarrier definitely impress me.

#76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier

2996 pieces

US $349.99

Build and display the huge SHIELD Helicarrier!

Take on the challenge of building this awesome LEGO® model of The SHIELD Helicarrier. · Minifigure stand measures over 4” (12cm) high, and 2” (6cm deep) and 6” (16cm wide)

The price tag here definitely going to be crazy with the current weakening ringgit and GST coming although some rumors said that TLG will absorb it. Let's hope ringgit getting stronger by the time this set was released, but there is no doubt that this is more expensive than the Star Wars Sandcrawler.

LEGO Creator #10246 Detective's Office Review

A lot of my friends and fans of LEGO are looking forward for this set to hit our shore here. Before the set reaches here, well here's something to feast our eyes. Below image is taken from Eurobricks member, Oky's review:

#10246 Detective's Office Review

The interior of this set seems pretty crowded but still there are greatly design with some playability. I have no idea who is the baddies but there are some secret compartment to play with. It definitely made a great addition to our modular collection. That said, there is some catch up for me to do on the previous launches of modular house. Sigh*
