LEGO DC Super Heroes #76001 The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase Review

The Dark Knight Rises really is one hell of a nice movie, but when the cool vehicle that are converted to LEGO version, it is just disappointing although the designer trying to get as close as possible to the real the Bat. Picture below is taken from Bricks Review:

SH_0069

The set are not looking real good itself, the playability are just too common, especially to those that collect Star Wars. All they use is flick-fire here and there. The tumbler although is small, but I still like it, while there is no need for me to comment on the minifigs although some might not like Bane.

LEGO DC Super Heroes #76000 Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze: Aquaman on Ice Review

Here's a review on a DC Super Heroes playset which is affordable and nice to play with, the Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze: Aquaman on Ice playset. Below picture is taken from Bricks Review:

SH_0110

I think most of us here in Malaysia already owned this set especially the Super Heroes fans since it comes with a few new character that you are very likely looking forward to add them into your DC Super Heroes collection like Arctic Batman and Aquaman. Althought Mr. Freeze is a reissue, but is a great addition to your minifigs vault as well. The Batboat in my opinion was just cool, just the two bars at the back that are bothersome, otherwise is purr-fect.

Summer LEGO Star Wars Hi-res Images

Well, the document are not yet published in Brickshelf, but GRogall did share some in Eurobricks. So for whoever that want to look at these pictures in details might want to drop by Eurobricks to see it.

I believe these sets are nearing to the launch date and some said Amazon already have them up for sale but will shipped two weeks later. I bet none of us would want to missed some of the popular set like Republic Gunship and AT-TE. Maybe is a good time to get your Jango Fett as well. Definitely the new looks better than the old.

LEGO Star Wars #75025 Jedi Defender Class Cruiser

This set is something that we have never see before during the toy fair where all the summer LEGO Star Wars set was revealed. Is a surprise to me when I see the pictures was posted in various LEGO site. Below image is taken from Brickshelf:

#75025 Jedi Defender Class Cruiser

The set comes with four minifigs, Sith Trooper, Sith Warrior, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular. The set do not seems to have much playability, but the ship do looks good. Not sure how was the real thing looks like, not really exploring the Old Republic. The Sith Warrior is a must have.

LEGO Architecture #21018 United Nations Headquarters

LEGO Architecture theme seems doing well. Despite it was made mostly out from tiny pieces, the Architecture price is still on the high side. Maybe the smaller the parts, the harder to make and making it pricey and not to forget the licensing fee.

LEGO 2013 Architecture 21018 United Nations Headquarters
#21018 United Nations Headquarters

The United Nations Headquarters are made out from 597 pieces of bricks. I believe the price will be in the middle range. Looking at our local price, it sure gonna kill us all. Luckily I'm not into this theme since there are too many nice theme being released by LEGO.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70709 Galactic Titan Review

This is the largest set from Galaxy Squad at the moment, it looks bulky and I like bulky stuff, so I like the looks of it. Below are the box art picture taken from WhiteFang review in Eurobricks:

I'm waiting for this set to be release and if I have the budget, this is definitely a must grab for me. I waited for this to release ever since the prelim pics was leaked and looking at the review, it seems not bad at all.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70708 Hive Crawler Review

This set seems to looks good too, and it comes with catapult function. Also comes with this set are the two new bugs and the alien minifig. Image below taken from LuxorV review on Eurobricks:

The red team seems sad, all this while they are on small vehicle, seems like no funding for this team and all the have are those small vehicle to fight the alien. Anyway, this one seems cooler than Crater Creeper.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech Review

Here's another review from the Eurobricks team, #70707 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech. The set are not that bad as I expected. Below images are from the review:

The two brick built (mechanical) bug looks very nice. I still don't quite get how the replacement mechanical works, especially the pod come flying out and the mech take over from the back. Maybe the torso can rotate.

LEGO Galaxy Squad #70706 Crater Creeper Review

This is the upcoming playset from Galaxy Squad, and it is not even release yet. Maybe TLG is sending out some set for people to do review. Image below is taken from Pandora's review in Eurobricks:

The Green Team sure get their vehicle downsize, but anyway, the set are focusing on the alien. This set do not really turn me on, but I probably still going to get it, that is, if I happen to owned all the set from this theme. Not much of a playability in this set, but it looks good.

LEGO Star Wars #75007 Republic Assault Ship & Coruscant Review

This is no longer a new set, but I find that the planet are attractive and it seems to have some shining paint printed on it. Below image is taken from FBTB review:

1. Overview

This is one of the option to build your army, seriously, the Clone Trooper minifigs are going scarce especially when they only include you one of it in the suppos-to-be battle pack playset. So here's another choice to build your army but neither option are cheap.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Exclusive Joe-El Minifigs in June Promo

According to FBTB which get the source (calendar below) from Eurobricks, Jor-El exclusive minifigs are coming this June. Other than that, I found Chima Speedorz offer are attractive too, but the price is quite competitive here as well.

Great month to get an exclusive figs.

Hi-res Images of LEGO Castle 2013

The Castle theme is coming back after Lord of the Rings take over the line, but am glad that the Castle theme made a come back. However, I still feel there is something lacking compare to the previous Fantasy Era theme.

#70403 Dragon Mountain

They do bring back the Dragon, but the design seems a little kiddy and not that appealing to me but there is definitely a great small set to build your army. So, is pretty much your call whether to build your new army or not.

More LEGO Lord of the Rings Images

This are something even much older than the UCS X-wing review, below are the hi-res images that are posted by grogall:

#79005 The Wizard Battle

#79006 The Council of Elrond

Guess that pretty much about the upcoming LOTR set, more new minifigs to collect, but not for those that already done with the fellowship. But for a completest, I guess to have all of them is a must. With the Tower of Orthanc being revealed, I guess the fans can no longer escape from Sauron grip.

To view all the images in hi-res, just head on to Brickshelf and search for grogall.

LEGO Star Wars #10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter Review

This definitely not a new news, there are a lot of review been posted before the playset even released. There are posted a day or two earlier before the set was officially released. Below is a picture taken from Eurobricks, which I think is very detail.

I'm not a fans for UCS, mainly because of the price which is out of my range, but luckily, B-wing was on 50% sales and am able to find get them at a slightly higher price. Maybe that will be my first ever UCS set and maybe the last. Anyway, back to topic, this X-wing looks good, and for a die-hard fans of Star Wars, this is something that you will certainly grab. It seems to improved a lot if were to compare to the previous version, which is more accurate.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Patriot Minifig

Finally there are words on how to get your Iron Patriot, well at the moment it only comes with Marvel Super Heroes game that is pre-ordered through Walmart. At least is not SDCC exclsuive and most of the people can get it.

Iron Patriot
Iron Patriot

So far I see all of the Iron Man minifigs are pricey, if you do not pre-ordered yours, you still have to pay a high price to get it. So might be wise to get the game as well.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Jor-El Minifig

Was not able to confirm whether this is something real or not when I first saw this pictures few days back, but they are on Ebay, although there is no confirmation on how to get this minifig, you can still grab yours through Ebay by paying a premium for it.

Jor-El Polybag pops up on eBay
Jor-El

Seems like a poorly designed poly, that is why I doubt about it when I first see it, the suite are of the same design maybe the color tone is a little darker and of course the new head print.
