LEGO Agents #8630 and #8636 is available

There are news that this theme serve the purpose of replacing the Exo-Force line which will end this years, and LEGO did a great jobs for this theme. Most of the sets have high playability, from light bricks to sound bricks. That's what LEGO should do in a long time ago, bring back the playability.

Now LEGO Agents set are being released here in Malaysia, but only 2 sets of them, which is #8630 Mission 3: Gold Hunt and #8636 Deep Sea Quest (which is say to be exclusive).

What's unique with this theme is that the sets have metallic pieces which is rare.
Mission 3: Gold Hunt

For this set, it contains grey metallic pieces and gold metallic pieces and it was retail at RM160. The jet is somehow manage to caught my attention and the price is quite reasonable.

Set details:
-352 pieces
-RM160 (around 45sen/piece)
-3 minifigs

Deep Sea Quest

While for this set, it is say to be an exclusive set, but somehow is only the minifigs that is special which is Slime Face and glow-in-dark octopus. The design of this set somehow didn't make me interested with it and it was retail at RM288.

set details:
-520 pieces
-RM288 (around 55sen/piece)
-4 minifigs
-glow-in-dark octopus

This set is sure expensive.

Pictures were taken from LEGO website.

  1. Think there's only one set worth buying from the Agents line, 8631, but its not available here (yet?)

  2. Yup, 8631 is not yet available, they was estimated to be release on end of September here but I only get news for this 2 sets.
But if you are judging from the playability I think there are a few more sets, like the Car Chase and Mobile Command Center is worth buying too.

Maybe this 2 sets (#8630 and #8636) are cheaper as they are like part of promotional stuff.
Between this 2 sets I just give my opinion, as the final decision is still with the purchaser itself. =)

By the way, you might want to try e-toyz if you are looking for Agents set.
